Graeme Colley Joins Auditors Institute.

Graeme Colley, a well-known figure in the superannuation and SMSF community, has been appointed as an Ambassador for the Auditors Institute. He has a long-standing reputation as an accomplished educator, technical expert and advocate for the sector.

The role of Ambassador is a new position which recognises the growing importance of the Institute in supporting quality audits and the significant value of auditors in their governance role as an essential part of doing business.

In response to the appointment, Lina De Marco, President, of the Auditors’ Institute, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled to have someone of Graeme's calibre assume this pivotal role."

The reason for Graeme taking an interest in the Auditors’ Institute is to assist in advancing its mission of providing a unified and independent voice for auditors, especially as they relate to superannuation and SMSFs. The greater risks being faced by trustees, members and other interested parties in relation to the member’s retirement savings need to be independently reviewed. It is an appropriately qualified auditor who is able to provide an objective view in line with the requirements of the legislation and auditing standards.
