Michael has 24 years’ experience in taxation and superannuation. Having worked for two Big 4 firms, a 2nd tier firm, as well as for a professional body. More recently, Michael is a Principal at LDB, a Melbourne based accounting firm, with a strong superannuation emphasis.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Practising Accountant and a Chartered Taxation Adviser.

Mailene is a Director in Superannuation Advisory and specialises in all aspects of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).

Her expertise includes taxation and administration of SMSFs, retirement planning, estate and succession planning, contribution strategies, limited recourse borrowing arrangements and reviewing investment structures to ensure legislative compliance.

As a superannuation specialist, Mailene focuses her expertise into empowering people to take control of their super. She does this by working closely with not only her clients, but also their tax and/or financial advisers. Mailene not only works for her clients but educates them to be more involved in their own superannuation story. She takes the approach that there is never a dumb question when it comes to your super.

Stuart is a Senior Technical Manager at Insignia and is a regular presenter and author of technical literature covering tax, superannuation, SMSFs, social security and aged care.
He enjoys using his technical knowledge to assist advisers develop effective strategies for their clients.
Prior to joining Insignia, he worked at Colonial First State as a technical analyst and has over 15 years’ experience in financial services.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts, he is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) member of the Financial Planning Association

Ashley is the Director of ARC Super, which specialises in the provision of SMSF audit, technical and training services. Ashley has extensive experience designing and developing audit software and programs and for the last sixteen years has trained and developed audit content for the professional accounting bodies, accounting firms and software providers. Ashley has also held positions on various committees of the regulatory and professional accounting bodies over the years in the area of self-managed superannuation funds.

Simon is a Senior Manager and technical specialist responsible for the provision of comprehensive
advice on complex strategic and technical matters to BDO’s high net worth clients and those of
referring professionals.

Prior to joining BDO in 2020, Simon was Strategic Advice Manager at Perpetual for over 13 years
assisting advisers to add greater value to their client’s wealth accumulation and protection
strategies, by providing guidance and expert advice.

Key areas of expertise include taxation, superannuation, estate planning, asset protection and
succession planning in respect of passive and active business assets.

Peter Bobbin is a leading legal veteran in superannuation, trusts, taxation and estate planning. In his 37 year-plus advising career he has not only seen and advised on all issues in superannuation, he was there when modern superannuation was born and also at every change, he is that old!
A big believer in giving back to the community, Peter is an often requested speaker for many professional associations and is proud of his role as Charity Trustee of theFuture2 Foundation.

In 2015, Peter was honoured by the Tax Institute as the Tax Advisor of the Year (SME) and recently was the Australian Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. As a former university lecturer and accountant, Peter claims that he can speak both accountant’ease and legal’ease.

She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, member of CA ANZ Regional Council, a CA SMSF Specialist and a registered SMSF auditor. She manages a team of highly experienced auditors and focuses on efficiency to ensure fast turnaround. Deanne also speaks at a variety of conferences and produces a weekly tax and superannuation webinar for Effective Deanne is involved in various organisations that promote causes she firmly believes in. She is the Vice President of B1G1, a non-profit organisation that provides businesses around the world opportunities to help in projects that are in line with sustainable development goals and is a two time best-selling author. She presented at the Women’s Economic Forum in India in April 2019 and is a two time internationally best-selling author.
